(3e)-3-[(4-Hydroxyphenyl)imino]-1H-indol-2(3H)-one is a synthetic small molecule featuring an indole core with a 4-hydroxyphenylimino substituent. It has been studied as an experimental compound and is not approved for clinical use. Structural biology studies have shown that it binds to serine/threonine-protein kinase pim‑1, a proto-oncogene kinase implicated in cell survival and proliferation pathways and associated with hematopoietic cancers such as diffuse large cell lymphoma. The compound acts as an inhibitor of pim‑1 kinase activity by binding to its active site[6][7][8]. No clinical indications or marketed products are associated with this molecule.
